Brand: Veuve Clicquot
Category: Alcoholic Beverages

La Grande Dame is Maison Veuve Clicquot's Cuvée de Prestige. And it is a tribute to the most famous of the region's ladies, that Madame Clicquot who, in spite of everything and everyone, managed to create one of the most prestigious Champagne houses. Veuve Clicquot has owned vineyards in the region's best Grand Crus since 1760. After all, Madame Clicquot knew that to produce the best champagne, she needed the best grapes. And through extraordinary intuition, she identified a few lots that turned out to be among the best in the region. These include Verzenay, Verzy and Bouzy, used in the assembly of La Grande Dame. Sumptuous rose gold appearance with light auburn reflections, this incredible Champagne proves soft and full-bodied. Refined and fresh. The result of long, slow aging in Veuve Clicquot cellars, this Rosé is good already but enjoys truly incredible aging potential. The Maison's experts are confident that, well kept in the cellar, it can safely evolve and continue to improve for more than 15 years. Waiting for the right opportunity to uncork it and serve it in combination with meat dishes, even savory ones, such as a roast beef or lamb chops. However, it is also excellent with fish or vegetarian dishes. Try it, for example, with delicious baked stuffed tomatoes.

Champagne "cuvée Saint Petersbourg" Veuve Clicquot - Country: Italy - Capacity: 0.75

Brand: Veuve Clicquot
Category: Alcoholic Beverages

The name Cuvée Saint-Petersbourg evokes a famous episode in the life of Madame Clicquot, who in 1814, despite the blockade that immobilized trade in Europe, managed to export bottles of Champagne to Russia, making them arrive safe and sound at the court of St. Petersburg. It was a memorable success and this event consecrated the fortune of the maison within the rich Russian nobility. Veuve Clicquot's Brut Saint-Petersbourg comes from the same blend as the ever-pleasing Yellow Label, the company's most iconic Champagne. Pinot Noir in the majority, with a judicious addition of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. The result is a Champagne of beautiful complexity that rests on the lees for about 48 months before disgorgement and put on the market. Notes of vanilla, pastry and bread crust well marked on the nose, great finesse and balance in the mouth.

Champagne Veuve Clicquot Rosé - Country: Italy - Capacity: 0.75

Brand: Veuve Clicquot
Category: Alcoholic Beverages

The story goes that it was Madame Clicquot who created the first Rosé champagne by blending in history. It was 1818 and "the widow" added a percentage of red wine to her Brut. The result was this Veuve Clicquot Rosé, pleasant and fruity, typical of the house's style, the child of blending some 50-60 different crus. The body of the Cuvée is based on the traditional style of Brut Yellow Label, consisting of 44-48% Pinot Noir, 13-18% Meunier and 25-29% Chardonnay. In addition, the blend includes a particularly high percentage of reserve wines from numerous vintages, guaranteeing the consistency of the Maison's style. These wines, some with more than 9 years of aging, are stored individually, respecting the origin of the crus and the vintages of production. The delicate and unmistakable color is guaranteed, today as in its origins, by the addition of a small percentage, about 12 percent, of red wines from different areas and selected to give the rosé a perfect balance. A coppery orange color, the aroma is expressive and characterized by aromas of strawberry and very ripe wild strawberries. In the mouth, on the other hand, it is full-bodied, structured and vinous, while maintaining an unaltered freshness. A pleasantly gastronomic champagne, this rosé has no trouble finding a place on any table. Excellent with flavorful fish such as tuna or swordfish, it can also accompany meat dishes such as beef carpaccio or even duck. There are also those who like to offer it as an end to a meal, perhaps to accompany a mouth-watering bowl of red fruits.

Brand: Veuve Clicquot

Those who love Champagne cannot fail to appreciate the unmistakable style of this Maison. We are talking about Veuve Clicquot, which not only represents the "history" of the region but is also a modern protagonist of it, with labels and bottles destined to leave a mark. As in the case of this "Yellow Label Ice Jacket" Champagne, a particular Cuvée celebrating the 250-year history of the Maison. In this case, the bottle is presented with a special "jacket" made of sustainable material. This cover is not only a tasteful aesthetic choice but also keeps the wine cool. As for the wine, then, it is a "non-vintage" and traditional Cuvée, made from the three most widely grown grapes in Champagne. Traditionally, the proportions of the different varieties include 50 to 55 percent Pinot Noir, 15 to 20 percent Meunier, and 28 to 33 percent Chardonnay. The grapes, specifically, come from more than 50 different plots, among the best on the property. The second, long, bottle fermentation takes place in the ancient "quarries" dug into the chalky subsoil of Reims and continues for about 30 months. Golden yellow in color with fine bubbles, the nose reveals hints of peach, Mirabelle plum and pear. In addition, vanilla and toasted hints reminiscent of brioche. Strength and silkiness, in perfect balance, with aromatic intensity and great freshness. A very classy champagne, it is great right from the aperitif. At the table it accompanies a seafood menu throughout the meal.

A unique Champagne. A tribute to the ancient tradition of the Maison, which here offers an interesting Demi-Sec version, sweet and silky. A truly unique Champagne that, the experts of the house even recommend serving in a decanter to allow the full development of aromas. This cuvée is the result of blending as many as 50 different crus. With 40 to 45 percent Pinot Noir, 30 to 35 percent Meunier and 20 to 25 percent Chardonnay. In this case, reserve wines account for between 20 and 30 percent of the total. Their special feature is that they are stored, individually, in barrels. At the end of aging on the lees in the bottle, an important dosage is added, amounting to about 45 grams of sugar per liter. The result is a sparkling wine characterized by incredible aromatic harmony, sweet but very fresh. Its ideal pairing is with caramel desserts, but also with coffee or pralines: Paris-Brest, tarte Tatin, caramelized pears. Also fabulous with a rich fruit salad.

When image is important, Veuve Clicquot does not disappoint. It does so, for example, with this particular special edition of one of its most famous labels. The Champagne Brut Rosé Yellow Label Ice Jacket comes wrapped in an unusual yellow jacket that not only embellishes the bottle but also serves an important function as a glacette, allowing the bottle to be kept cool and at the right serving temperature. In the bottle, however, is classic Veuve Clicquot elegance, the result of a careful selection of grapes from the domaine's best vineyards. This Rosé is composed of 44-48% Pinot Noir, 13-18% Meunier and 25-29% Chardonnay. Separate vinification for each plot, after the cuvée is created, with the addition of 30 to 45 percent reserve wines and 12 percent Pinot Noir vinified in red, the bottles are left to rest in the Maison's ancient "quarries" for at least 36 months. Champagne marked by good structure and great elegance, it is a pleasantly gastronomic wine, ideal in combination with various dishes. Dom Pérignon was the first prestige cuvée, an idea proposed by Englishman Laurence Venn. The first vintage of Dom Pérignon was 1921 and was only released for sale in 1936. Dom Pérignon is a vintage champagne, meaning that it is only made in the best years, and all grapes used to make the wine were harvested in the same year. Many champagnes, by contrast, are non-vintage, which means that the champagne is made from grapes harvested in various years.

Although there are differing opinions, the name derives from the oenological inventiveness of the Benedictine monk Pierre Pérignon. Dom Pérignon was, according to the English scholar Laurence Venn, the first champagne defined as 'prestige'. Even if the first vintage dates back to 1921, it was only marketed in 1936 after the Great Depression. Dom Pérignon is only produced during the best vintages, and the grapes used for production come from the same year's harvest, unlike other types of champagne.

Champagne Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut - Country: Italy - Capacity: 0.75

From Maison Bollinger, this Special Cuvée is probably one of the most representative wines. This cuvée is the result of a skillful and delicate blending between a small proportion of vintage wine and a majority of reserve wines, including those aged in bottles for more than 15 years on the winery premises. Once the cuvée is created, the wine matures for no less than three years on the lees before being degorged with the addition of the liqueur d'expédition, in this case made from the same wines used in the blend, to maintain the most absolute stylistic consistency. A curiosity. As is often the case, dégorgement is mechanized. In Bollinger's case, however, an innovative machine is used that injects an inert gas inside the bottles as they are uncorked, preventing oxygen from penetrating and allowing a very low amount of sulfur dioxide to be used. In the glass, you discover a wine characterized by a beautiful golden yellow color, with fine, uninterrupted bubbles. Notes of ripe fruit, spices and candied apples are clearly discernible on the nose. Then biscuit and pastry notes. In the mouth it is immediately recognizable. Creamy and perfectly balanced by fresh acidity, it evokes notes of ripe fruit, such as pear, brioche and slightly spicy spices. Balanced between structure, power and liveliness. A decidedly gastronomic Champagne, it is difficult to put it on the table. From Parmesan to aged Pata Negra. From shellfish to sushi and sashimi, this wine always knows how to impress.

The style of the A ‘ house is unmistakable. Merit of the particular cuvée, created as is traditional for the Maison by blending wines from the last two vintage years with the addition of reserve wines of great diversity in origin and vintage. Sometimes even stored in magnums sealed with corks. In this particular case, moreover, to achieve the desired pinkness of the finished wine, 5% red wine from La Côte aux Enfants is also added. The result is a wine that is strongly structured but with a clear and precise expression, aged on its lees in the bottle for at least 36 months. Antique pink in color, with a fine perlage that makes it very bright, the nose is pleasantly fruity, with distinct notes of ripe strawberry, currant and blueberry, against a buttery background with hints of cookie and almond. In the mouth, it is creamy but fresh. Pleasantly structured, long and lively, on the table it always knows how to give great satisfaction. Excellent with prawns or lobster, some people also enjoy it as an end to a meal, perhaps accompanied by a bowl of strawberries or raspberries au naturel.

Moet & Chandon holds the charm of Champagne history. There is virtually no corner of the world where the brand is not known and appreciated. The secret is the unmistakable style of its wines, which, while produced in large numbers each year, carry with them the exclusive charm of one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world. In fact, they are the very symbol of it. A fine example of this is this Rosé Imperial, which, as defined by its creators, "is a spontaneous, radiant and romantic expression of the Moët & Chandon style." A blend of the region's three basic grapes, Rosé Imperial is made from nearly 50 percent Pinot Noir grapes, 10 percent of which are vinified in red. Then Meunier, 10% of which is red wine, and a small addition of Chardonnay. Of these bases, at least 20-30% are reserve wines, specially selected by the Chef de Cave to enhance their intensity, finesse and consistency. A pleasantly dry wine, thanks to a dosage of about 7 grams of sugar per liter, this Rosé presents itself in the glass with a beautiful pink color with amber hues. The nose reveals a heady and lively bouquet. Clear notes of red fruits, including wild strawberry, raspberry and cherry, and floral hints reminiscent of rose, with a slight hint of pepper. In the mouth, however, we discover a bubble characterized by an incredible juicy intensity, amid notes of red and yellow-fleshed fruit, well balanced by the freshness of a subtle menthol note. Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with simple dishes, including meat dishes. Try it, for example, with lamb or suckling pig cooked in the oven.

For those seeking in every way to stand out, this is the right Champagne to choose. Without a doubt. Ice Impérial, in fact, is the first Champagne created specifically to be served with ice, that is, "on the rocks." A small heresy for the most staunch upholders of tradition. But also a new experience that encompasses fun, freshness and freedom for Moët & Chandon's indefatigable anti-conformists who, from the height of its long history, can afford to let their imaginations run wild. From a blend that includes mostly Pinot Noir, vinous and edgy, and characterized by an intensely fruity flavor, with Meunier, full and fleshy, and Chardonnay, used in a proportion of between 10 and 20 percent for its refreshing touch. The dosage in this case is definitely important, touching 45 grams of sugar per liter, resulting in a deliciously smooth and drinkable wine, especially suitable for consumption away from the table. After all, this is Champagne born for the party.

Cuvée de prestige of Maison Taittinger, the "Comtes de Champagne" is a wonderful example of how the Chardonnay grape, in the northernmost region of France, can express itself in wines of great personality. The grapes used for its blend, in fact, come from the best vineyards in the Côte de Blancs region. Only the best grapes, of course, and only the flower of their juice. In fact, only the fruit of the first pressing, the most delicate and superficial, ends up in this bottle. The result, however, pays off from the very first sip. When its crystal-clear glass bottle stands out in the middle of the table, and its shape is a bit pot-bellied, you know, you drink well. The Blanc de blancs by Ruinart is, by definition, the icon of the house and, at the same time, its most representative cuvée. In this case the chardonnay, used in purity, comes from vineyards from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. The result is a Champagne of extreme finesse, able to evolve for years in the cellar, thanks to the care with which it is refined within the famous crayères. The chalk quarries dug underneath the city of Reims and used for centuries to protect the evolving wines, allowing them to remain in an ideal environment in terms of temperature, humidity, darkness but above all silence. In this great Champagne chardonnay literally explodes in all its aromatic richness. Thus one discovers a wine characterized by a beautiful straw yellow color of extreme vivacity, where millions of fine bubbles rise from the bottom of the glass in uninterrupted chains. On the nose it is elegant and exuberant. Fruity, citrusy and with notes of white flowers. Then more yeast, pastry and custard. on the palate, however, it is fresh and elegant. The same sensations perceived previously return, completed, however, by toasted aromas typical of the Dom Ruinart style. It is no coincidence that this is the Blanc de blancs the emblem of the house.

Endowed with great aromatic freshness, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs perfectly represents the intact purity of the Chardonnay grape varieties of which it is composed of 100%, mainly from the Premier Cru delle Crete des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. The colour is very bright pale gold with green highlights. The perlage is very fine and persistent. An exceptional Blanc de Blancs, pure, incisive and precise. The attack is soft, pulpy; the finish is very fresh, with notes of white peach and citron. It is a wine of great conviviality, excellent as an aperitif. Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes of different vintages (25% of reserve wines from 2 or 3 previous vintages).
