The first vintage of Red Angel dates back to 1988. Its name refers to the intense red colour of the Pinot Noir grapes. Bright ruby red in colour, the nose presents a complex and articulate bouquet, with notes of red and dark fruit, such as raspberry and blackberry, as well as flowers and sweet spices, such as pepper and nutmeg. In the mouth, however, the wine is elegant and harmonious, with a good balance between acidity, tannins and structure. The finish is long and persistent. Undoubtedly one of the best expressions of Pinot Noir from Friuli, Red Angel is an extremely versatile wine that can be enjoyed on many occasions. On the table it goes well with main courses of white meat, but also with tasty fish, cheeses and cured meats.

Natyr, Terre Siciliane IGT 100% Insolia, has a very special meaning for Baglio di Pianetto. It is one of the first wines produced by Count Paolo Marzotto's company after the long conversion to organic farming. It was 2013 and Natyr is the first wine offered without being filtered, without added sulfites and made from indigenous yeasts. A deeply territorial wine that recalls everything that is good (and beautiful) about Sicily. Unique personality, citrusy and balsamic, in this wine the Inzolia grape is immediately recognizable. It comes from carefully selected grapes, harvested by hand and destemmed before being sent to the crushing phase. In order not to alter the aromatic framework of the initial fruit, this white wine is not aged in wood after vinification. It remains instead for about 24 months in inert steel containers, in contact with its own native yeasts, waiting to reach the right natural stability. Only then is it bottled. It is not yet time, however, for its release. To reach that point we have to wait at least another year, during which the bottles rest in peace and obscurity inside Cantina del Baglio.

It is then refined in steel for three months before bottling. In the glass, the wine has a brilliant greenish-yellow colour and the nose perceives mainly hints of white flowers. The palate reveals a well-balanced white with a light citrus finish. Thanks to its freshness and lightness, this Chenin Blanc is excellent as an aperitif. But it is also the ideal companion for shellfish and fish dishes.

Committed from a very young age to the development of his "garden vineyard," he took on the production of the family maison when his father Maxime Ponson died. A portion of reserve wine is then added, the result of old historic vintages of the Maison, and then rested on its lees, in the bottle, for at least 48 months. The result is a Champagne characterized by a rich nose of yellow fruits, Golden apple and tropical fruits. The sip is balanced and ripe, subtle, delicate and fresh, thanks to the perceptible acidity that accompanies the finish, making the wine remarkably persistent.

Maceration continues for about 3 weeks and, at the end of processing, after racking and malolactic conversion, the wine is transferred to barriques for its maturation period. At least 18 months, during which the mass is divided into three parts. Forty per cent is passed into new barriques, 40 per cent is left to mature for individual varieties and the remaining 20 per cent matures in ovoid vats and amphorae. The final blending takes place only shortly before bottling. A red of great personality, this Margaux presents itself in the glass with a beautiful bright red colour and compactness. The nose is reminiscent of blackberries, blackcurrants, violets, bitter chocolate, clay and mineral. Medium-bodied, in the mouth it reveals very fine and well-integrated tannins, a nice structure, well balanced by a clear sensation of softness. In fact, it is made from Schiava grapes that grow on slopes that can reach 80% gradient, with excellent southern exposure, in St. Maddalena. Sustainable viticulture inspired by the principles of organic farming, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected in the vineyard. Vinification is super traditional, with maturation in stainless steel, to preserve all the goodness of the original fruit. In the glass it is a beautiful pale ruby red colour. The nose is elegant and inviting, with notes of violets, cherries and raspberries. In the mouth it reveals a medium body, fragrant and with a typical finish reminiscent of bitter almonds.

A small biodynamic masterpiece. From the heart of the Margaux district, in Haut-Médoc, Chteau Durfort-Vivens offers this 2ème Cru Classé, a red that is particularly representative of the winery's production. Margaux is characterised by a unique microclimate, influenced by the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean. Sunny days and cool nights create an ideal environment for the ripening of the grapes, in particular Cabernet Sauvignon, which accounts for around 97% of the blend and finds its finest expression here. Harvest and vinification take place by parcel, enhancing the unique characteristics of each vineyard. Alcoholic fermentation takes place with natural yeasts and daily pumping over to favour delicate extractions. Malolactic fermentation completes the process, giving the wine softness and complexity. The wine then matures for approximately 18 months in new barrels (70%) and terracotta amphorae (30%), giving the wine structure and longevity. Intense ruby red in colour, the nose has a complex and elegant bouquet, where notes of blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant and bark intertwine. In the mouth, it is full and layered, with fine, velvety tannins that help give the wine structure and persistence. In the mouth, an explosion of flavours ranging from ripe fruit and spices to mineral notes and touches of liquorice. Perfect with important red meat dishes, such as roasts and braised meats. Also ideal with mature cheeses.
