Marai de Marai is not the classic Prosecco Superiore. It is in some respects its progenitor. In fact, it originates from a recipe of grandfather Gio that Carlo has rethought and updated. A sparkling wine, with that hint of residual sugar that makes it all the simpler, it is made from a classic Treviso grape blend, with Glera, of course, and Verdiso. The bottle has an extremely modern and appealing "look". It is made to attract attention wherever it is offered. But what really amazes is the quality of the contents. Straw yellow made even brighter by a fine and incessant perlage, Marari de Marai has fragrant aromas of white-fleshed fruit and freshly picked flowers. A hint of bread crust finally opens to a fresh, balanced, dry and vertical taste. The finish, then, stands out for its cleanliness. This is a bubble that one shares with pleasure.
