Originating in Germany, Riesling is a very versatile grape variety that lends itself to being vinified in various styles. Jermann's Afix is made from pure Riesling Renano grapes from vineyards in the Collio region. Dedicated to Alojz Felix, the young and eclectic son of Silvio Jermann, it is made by hand harvesting and traditional vinification. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine then matures for 10 months on the lees in steel tanks and a few months in the bottle. For bottling, the winery has decided to go for closed bottles with Stelvin model screw caps, to keep the fragrance and organoleptic qualities of the wine intact.
